How should I go about reading the Bible?
I believe that in order to read the Bible, one should first be able to read it by himself without another person's translation of it. This is why I want to learn Hebrew, and find the original scripts or copies of them. I need to learn which languages they were written in (Hebrew, Arabic, Greek and/or Romanian), which dialect (Ancient/Old Modern), where to find some of the scripts and if anyone can help me. I need a lot of help on this and I feel like there is something that EVERYONE is missing by reading the King James version, or other modern versions. I also feel like my religion is hurting because, well honestly, I feel like I'm reading a lie every time I read the King James. I need to know what it says and interpret it by myself or with a mentor guiding my progress as I step into this. I know it's a lot, but I feel like I need to do this.
