Are cosmetic booths in the mall trying to rip us off?

I recently went shopping with my teen at first colony mall. (cringe) Ive seen these cosmetic booths before and bought from them a few times in the past. It was a Da vinci minerals seller and they even apply the makeup, which is really good by the way. When the salesperson told me one jar of foundation/powder cost $50.00, I hesitated and walked away. So I go home and hop on ebay where I can find the same product starting at $16-$25.00. Im going to guess that the other $25.00 was going to line the salesperson's pocket? I now will never make any purchase from any mall booth from now on.
