For high school community service can I pick up trash, and what are some other easy things I can do?

I don't want to do anything that involves promoting items or anything, because I'm a horrible salesperson. I don't really want to assist the elderly or special ed kids either. What are other ideas similar to picking up trash? And if it's something that the school doesn't have in the community service ad thing, will my hours still be counted?
