What type of Arabic should I learn?

I'm extremely confused. Some people say to learn Modern Standard Arabic, others say to learn Egyptian Arabic because its "widely" understood in most Arab countries. My primary goal is to be able to fluently communicate with the majority of Arabs. I understand each country has its dialect and I won't be able to learn all dialects, however what type of Arabic should I learn to be able to effectively communicate with native Arabic speaking people from all different countries?
